The Park Slope Civic Council's annual self-guided house tour is this Sunday. We took the tour in 2005, and it was well worth it. Like sneaking a peak into someone's window, only better.

Via Flatbush Gardener, I learned that the Flatbush Development Corporation (FDC) has also scheduled a tour featuring the magnificent free-standing Victorian houses in that neighborhood. Get your tix, and then get your kix admiring Queen Anne's and Stix (check out Dave's Victorian House Site for a good description of the various species of architecture).

- WHEN: Sunday, June 10, 2007; 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

- TIX: $15 advance, $20 day of tour.
- SUBWAY: Q train to CHURCH AVENUE, follow the signs and walk three blocks west to the start of the tour at Temple Beth Emeth o the corner of Church Avenue and Marlborough Road. You can pick up your tour map there. (MAP)

Note: FDC's subway directions are incorrect. Take the Q Train to Church Avenue instead of Beverly Road. The start of the tour is Temple Beth Emeth on the corner of Church Avenue and Marlborough Road. I contacted them and they're going to make the corrections on the material that hasn't already been printed.
