As reported elsewhere in the Brooklyn blogosphere, the cherry blossoms on the esplanade were just a few days shy of peak at this year's Sakura Matsuri Festival. Still, I did manage to get a few decent snapshots Saturday. I also decided to make a tradition of crafting a haiku to honor the festival. Perhaps you have fond memories of my brilliant offering from 2005. As encouragement, my haiku coach, Sakitumi Ringo, offered a haiku of his own to complement this year's offering. He's been very supportive. More pix from the festival: More Sakura Matsuri (Gowanus Lounge) Not Many Blossoms, but Good People Watching (Gowanus Lounge) More Sakura Matsuri (Brit In Brooklyn) |
