Both the New York Times and NY1 are reporting that Robert Redford has announced a collaboration between the Sundance Institute and BAM to promote independent film. The program will be dubbed "Creative Latitude" because Park City, Utah and Brooklyn are both situated at approximately 40° N latitude. Brooklyn thespians Paul Giamatti, Steve Buscemi, Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams and Redford look-alike Marty Markowitz were on hand for the announcement.
There will be a screening of select films from the Park City Festival at BAM beginning May 11.
Thanks to Only The Blog Knows Brooklyn for the tip.
