Last week, I presented a quiz concerning several insects that took up residence on a milkweed plant in Propect Park.
As promised, here are the answers:

The bonus beetle was a Milkweed Stem Weevil (Rhyssematus lineaticollis). There's a nice list of these and many more insects that thrive on various parts of the milkweed here.
The winner of last week's quiz was fellow blogger Sahalie. The fact that she was the only contestant and possibly the only person who read the post in no way diminishes her accomplishment.
The subjects of this weeks quiz were discovered in early October clinging to the exterior walls of a cabin in Highlands, North Carolina. To make things easier I'll give you two important hints:
- Both species undergo complete metamorphosis
- One of the species belongs to an order that builds cabins of its own
I've probably said too much. Have fun!

Damn you're good.
Lacewing is correct for bug "b."
You're also correct about the "streamside hatch-out buggy."
We'll let someone else guess whethere it's a mayfly or a caddisfly. Althought the clue should be a giveaway.
