Both of these pictures were taken inside, which is why they may not be as crisp as normal. It's difficult to take the time to get the right lens and set up a tripod when someone is offering the following constructive criticism with a not undetectable sense of urgency:
"What the hell are you doing taking a $*@# picture? KILL IT! KILL IT!"
The specimen pictured below is actually eating another spider, although that's difficult to see since I neglected to remove an outdoor filter, and this picture was taken in the bathroom of my in-law's cabin earlier this week. My wife and mother-in-law will be glad to know that this pair ventured just a little to close to the drain in the bathroom sink.
The photograph of the jumping spider below was taken in our bedroom in Brooklyn. I had fully intended to capture the little guy and release him outside. Unfortunately, he escaped while I was setting up for some additional pictures. This is why I'm not allowed to take pictures of invertebrates inside of our house anymore. The delay is too risky.

Thanks, you tell him! I'm still waiting for that "little" jumping spider to make a surprise reappearance right next to my pillow....which is where he was located when he went missing. Dave is a great and wonderful husband, but Lordy will he get his ear bent if he ever does that again.

I could barely stand to look at the pictures without feeling squeamish. I whole-heartedly agree with your wife. Great pics though!
