Yuletide Decoration Sampler

People in Park Slope really go all out when they decorate for the holidays. However, I'm not always clear on what the intended message is. Maybe you guys can help?

MESSAGE: At this festive time of year, it's important to remember that family and togetherness are the best gifts anyone can receive. It's also important to remember to anchor giant inflatable decorations so that they don't blow over in the wind.

MESSAGE: When it comes to Santa's transportation choices, safety,fuel economy, and holiday appropriate color schemes are important dimensions to consider. The use of reindeer is exploitative and their droppings present a public health hazard.

MESSAGE: Judicious application of glitter can extend the useful life of your Jack-O-Lantern as a decoration all the way to Mardi Gras.
